Worship

God asks us to respond to who He is through worship. It is only by God's grace that we can dare to come into His presence in the first place. "Worship," is derived from an old English word meaning 'worth' or 'worthiness.' Most people would be very surprised, but worship has nothing to do with us. Worship is all about God. In simple words, worshiping God is focusing only on God.*God created worship for Himself alone. Worship has nothing to do with me or what God has done for me or how I feel! Even singing isn't worship if we are not fully focused on God. Praise, love, service, thanksgiving, church attendance, singing, praising, fellowship just to name a few; they should all flow out of a worshipful experience. We are to worship God before anything else; before worrying about ourselves, before taking Him our lists of problems, before asking Him for help, before thanking Him for what He has given us, and specially before we start our day.
